I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O LORD. I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart; I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation. As for you, O LORD, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me! (Psalm 40:9-11 ESV)
How glad are you to know that YAHWEH has delivered you from death? If you are like David, your salvation is a lasting and genuine source of joy. There is nothing like being sure that God’s promises are applicable to you when it comes to being together with him for all eternity. That alone is cause to rejoice. Then there is the faithfulness that God demonstrates daily to those who are his. What a joy to know that Jesus is just as committed to you today as he was on the day that he went to the cross! David’s response to YAHWEH’s faithfulness was to proclaim the news to all those who gathered together to worship. He was prepared to speak about these mercies because he focused his attention on the faithfulness of God before he joined the congregation in worship. What an amazing experience it is to bring a testimony of God’s enduring love to encourage and build the faith of others during a time of corporate worship. Fellowship focused on God’s faithful love and demonstrating gratitude for his grace and mercy edifies all. How is God working in your life today? Are you ready to share a testimony of his love for you with your brothers and sisters in Christ?
With brotherly affection,
